First draft of the storyboard.

These images show the first draft of our storyboard. It is only a very rough start as we were still undecided on a couple of things for instance, locations. From this, lots of adjustments are going to be made as we have changed some of the narrative and added some shots to our piece. This helps us however to do this, because we can figure out how we are going to do certain aspects and the shots/dialogue we need in each scene. Our initial idea was too much like telling the story in the opening which we didn't want to achieve, so we changed it so it appears more like a montage of shots. By doing this, it does what the first 2 minutes is supposed to for instance, establishes the main characters and tells the audience a little bit about them.

Treatment for 2 Minute Film

Title- Cat Burglar
Duration- 2 Minutes

Audience- Our film is targeted at persons age 12 upwards , the rating is 12A due to some of the language that will be used and the nature of the film. It is aimed at both males and females that enjoy watching action adventure films and mild crime films
Synopsis- Two cat burglars Sasha and Annabelle are ordered by their boss Sam to go and collect a memory stick holding vital information of bank details. He points out the location of the building on a map and demands the girls go there as quickly as possible to retrieve this information. The girls go towards the building which has very high security including guards and gates which need passes to be opened however the girls can not be afraid of this as they know their jobs depend on it, they get into the building and find where they need to be. Annabelle goes into the toilet to wait while Sasha goes ahead to the memory stick as she has had more experience in doing these sorts of jobs. Sasha manages to get the memory stick and back to the toilets amazingly not breach the security system.. or so she thought. As Sasha returns to the toilets they get a phone call from Sam asking where they are and telling them to get out of the building. In a moment of madness Annabelle drops the memory stick into the pocket of a stranger and they both exit the building as quickly as possible after having been searched. The girls rush to a near by ginnel to try and work out a plan however Sam rings them furious about what has happened and demands they go back in to find the memory stick and hangs up leaving the girls unsure about what to do.
Suggested Elements- Due to this films overall genre 'action' the suggested elements of this film consist of a fast pace, with sudden twists and turns within the plot. A sub-genre of this film is crime there for it will have to show scenes where the law is being broken this is often a part of a film where it holds a fast pac

First draft of the script

Mid day - Sam in his office pointing at a map on his wall sat in his leather chair music playing from the titles, then fades
Sam: (pointing at map) there. Thats where it is.. (both girls look to one another) go on then.. GO!

Both exit , swap to a shop outside entrance of newbuild. Then, to annabelle going into the toilets, Sasha walking on..

Annabelle: (sharply + quietly ) hurry

*sasha breaking in.. Returning to toilet*

Sasha: got it!
Annabelle; good, right get changed we need to.. (Sam calls) ... Hello?
Sam; what are you playing at ?!? Hurry up!
Annabelle; we're on our way out (leaving toilets)
Sasha; what does he want?
Annabelle; oh , same old same...

Back at the New build entrance with the barriers. Sasha and Annabelle make attempts to walk out but the alarms ring and security discovers that someone has stolen it.

Sasha (Whispers) - quick, get rid of it.

Annabelle drops the memory stick into a persons bag walking into the building through the barriers so they are not suspected as they are checking bags of people walking out. They are now in a deserted ginnel when the phone rings again.

Sasha answers the phone.
Sam: What's happened now? You better not have lost it!
Sasha: Alarms were ringing, security everywhere, we didn't have a choice..
Sam: (getting angry) What have you gone and done?
Sasha: It's in the building, it's in someone's bag.
Sam: What! go find it now! *hangs up*

College location photos

The above images shows the toilet scene location from different angles. We have decided to use this location to show a character getting changed from their mission and where a phone conversation is going to be held.

The above two images show a different location. We have specifically chosen this location in college because it includes barriers which make it look like a high security, important building which we need for our film. The scene we are going to include this in is where the memory stick gets dropped into someones bag after they have figured out it's been stolen.

Tuesday filming

This shows our preparation for when we start filming on tuesday so we know what to do and what to bring on that particular day.

Questionnaire Feedback

We needed more feedback on our questionnaire so we asked on a different social networking website, Twitter. These images show both me and Annabelle putting it so we would hopefully get a more variety of answers in order to get better feedback.

First ideas - for our script

This image shows the document we did to put our first ideas altogether for our piece. We did this specifically to help us put together our script as we figured out settings, order of events and time of day.

Storyboard practice

This image shows a storyboard I created for a scene after reading an extract from a script. By doing this I gained practiced for drawing the different shots and creating the scenarios we want to have in our own film. This will make it easier when I come to create our own storyboard.

Production logo feedback

These images show that we have each uploaded our production logo to the social networking website Facebook to gain feedback. By doing this, people are able to like or comment their opinion then we are able to make adjustments depending. We have mainly gained positive feedback, therefore we are not going to make any alterations to it.
